1) ammoniacal cuprous chloride

2) ammoniacal silver nitrate....(i think nitrate only)

these two are used in detecting the triple bond-ethyne 1) gives red ppt and 2) gives white ppt....

in concise it's given in a table...2 distingiush between alkanes,alkenes n alkynes.....but these terms(fehlings sol&tollen's sol) r not given........it is very very very imp....

i told na kanika that they form red n white ppts wen reacting with ethyne,..they dnt react wth ethene n ethane

though u may not know me i thought i shud tell u...i think u people may know this but ther is another reagent...Baeyer's reagent...it is cold dil. alkaline KMnO4(potassium permanganate) soln...it oxidises ethene to ethylene glycol(ie. CH2OH-CH2OH) n also oxidises ethyne to oxalic acid(COOH-COOH)...n has no effect on alkanes...
