KIRCHOFF'S LAW is not in icse class 10 syllabus but is very useful to know and will help you in solving resistance questions and if its definition come in class 10th boards then you will get extra marks for that.

you may study KIRCHOFF'S LAW from class xi th book or try reading the following articles on net

markownikoff's rule : negative part of the
attacking reagent goes to the carbon in the substrate with less no. of
hydrogen atoms attached to it..
anti markownikoff's rule: in presence of peroxide...the opposite behaviour is seen..




but the markonikov and the anti-markonikov rule
are not always followed.you have see the stable intermediate formation
which is a carbocation in caser of markonikov rule and free radical in
anti markonikov addition.
