Good news for those having good % in X & XII and seriously interested in basic science. This year INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND RESEARCH is giving direct admission based on your board’s result.

Direct Admission is open to applicants who have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology in their class 12 board examination. Aptitude Assessment consists of a written test. It will have multiple choice questions on Physics Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology based on CBSE syllabus up to class 12.

ADMISSION VIA 3-CHANNELS

For admission to Dual degree BS-MS programme, following channels will be available:

1. KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana): SX, SA, SB, SP

2. IIT-JEE 2010 Merit List
IIT JEE 2010 details available at: www.jee.iitm.ac.in

3. DIRECT ADMISSION: Students securing marks above cut-off, as given in the Cut-Off Table (with relaxations of 10% for SC/ST and 5% for OBC): Selection based on merit and performance in aptitude assessment and counseling

(2007 class X and 2009 class XII) cut off Table 1.

For SC/ST Candidates, the cut-off's for
X and XII will be 10% lower for all of the above entries,
e.g. CBSE Cut-off will be (83.60%) for X and 82.40% for XII.
Similarly, cut-off for OBC Candidate will be 5% lower i.e.
for CBSE (88.60%) for X and (87.40%) for XII."
